Former Tory Candidate Endorses Rajan

I am pleased to endorse Dr Rajan for Parliament. He is an excellent candidate standing on a strong and broad platform.

I was the Tory Candidate for Tottenham in the last general election, and previously was both a Conservative on Haringey Council and Chairman of my local Conservative Association. But I have become fed up with the direction the Party has taken, and have now joined UKIP.

If I wanted to support a social or liberal democratic group there are
already two well established parties.  If I wanted to support environmental
extremists there is a third. But why support Cameron?  He is losing the Tory base without convincing anyone else. Even his local candidate donates money to the Labour Party.

Dr. Rajan has rightly emphasised the issue of immigration for this small island. The Tory and Labour policy is to be nasty to Australians, Indians, and Pakistanis; the Tories even want to prohibit Brits from bringing in 20 year old American wives. This is the result of both parties being absurdly generous elsewhere: they want to give 25 million Romanians and 80 million Turks completely free and unimpeded rights to live and work in Britain. A more balanced policy outside the EU would be farer and better for all.

I urge you to vote for Dr. Rajan.

William MacDougall

2005 Conservative Parliamentary Candidate, Tottenham
